Dreamt I opened a thrift store in South Philly somewhere along Snyder Ave. Thing is, it started with cops coming and taking everything out and arresting customers. Accused me of selling hot and stolen products. Then it flashed back to when I first opened it and how happy I was. I told my five employees: three men and two women that I wanted it to be the best store in Philly. I extended the width and depth of the building and told them we were going to sell usually expensive things for retail prices. I said a seven foot Christmas tree would only cost $30 dollars. The two male employees chose the other male as general manager. And then it moved forward to people swarming through the store, buying up everything on the shelves. We were popular, business was doing outstanding and I was so happy.
Dreams can be quite symbolic and often reflect your subconscious thoughts, feelings, and experiences. Here's a detailed interpretation of your dream:
Opening a Thrift Store: The act of opening a thrift store signifies a desire to start something new in your life, whether it's a project, a relationship, or a personal transformation. It suggests an intention to make something valuable and accessible, perhaps highlighting your innovative mindset and entrepreneurial spirit.
Location – South Philly, Snyder Ave: Specific locations in dreams can relate to personal connections or significant places from your past. If you have ties to South Philly, this could reflect your roots or where you draw inspiration or confidence from.
Cops Arresting Customers: This element indicates a fear of misunderstanding or being unjustly accused. It might symbolize anxieties about being blamed for wrongdoing or facing consequences for actions you feel are unjust. This could also highlight issues of trust or caution in your personal or professional life.
Flashback to Happiness: Dreams have flashbacks to highlight stark contrasts between different emotional states. This element could suggest a longing for simpler times or reminiscing about initial happy moments when you start something new.
Expanding the Store: The expansion represents growth and ambition. It shows your desire to broaden your horizons and reach a wider audience or achieve more significant accomplishments.
Product Pricing Strategy: Selling expensive things for less signifies generosity, a willingness to provide access to good things for others, perhaps at a personal cost. It could imply a need to be charitable, fair, or just in your dealings.
Employees and Leadership Choice: Selecting a general manager shows delegation and trust. This could reflect your real-life relationships and how you value collaboration, leadership, and the opinions of others around you.
